Following the death of our beloved cat Cricket several weeks ago, we went to PetSmart for some therapy and ended up bringing home two playful kittens: a male we named Bocelli after singer Andrea Bocelli and a female we named Alya (or Allie). |

Tunisia’s cats are predominantly feral with a very small percentage adopted as indoor pets. Although Tunisian street cats live in close proximity to humans, they approach only when food is presented and shy away from being petted or handled. With their svelte frames and quick reflexes, these Mediterranean cats mislead the casual onlooker into believing that they are malnourished. Their thin bodies perhaps a nod to their elegant Egyptian ancestors, are likely a product of an active battle for survival in a hot climate.

For while you are sleeping, the cat will soundlessly enter the room, crawl up onto your chest, and suck the breath from your body until you are lifeless! |

The 2009 installment of Hans Sylvester’s Cats in the Sun Calendar does not disappoint. A must have for every cat lover, the photographic narrative for the 12 months highlight Sylvester’s talent at capturing highly expressive photos of our feline friends in action. Simply put, the photography is amazing. Although the selection for 2009 does not highlight the Greek backdrop as much as in calendars from previous years, our cats are still presented in a Sylverster sun-drenched Mediterranean setting. |

Take the ChoroQ Qsteer Mini RC Racer, place it in a jar of catnip and let sit for a period. Select a trajectory that is sure to attract the attention of our feline friend as well as disperse the scent of the catnip. A peppermint tea bag may also be taped to the vehicle for added effect.
